About

Sam is a Software Engineer with a diverse background in data and business analytics, product management, testing, and research methods. Coming from a career in the engineering world and a background in kinesiology research, I bring a detail oriented and analytical mindset to improve complex and time consuming processes with the goal of being accessible and intuitive for the user.

In his spare time, Sam is an avid cyclist. After retiring from his successful collegiate cycling career at Colorado Mesa University, you will find him chasing around the 'groms' from the Salinas HS mtb team and riding for the pure joy of the sport. When not riding, you can find Sam tending to his native plant gardens, doctoring up a paella or chocolate torte, or spending time with his partner, Sused, and Moby, their whippet.

Monopoly Lite
Built with JavaScript, CSS Grid and Flexbox layouts, and HTML. Created a slimmed down version of the “Monopoly” game to showcase my ability to create efficient and modular logic.

Track My Project
RESTful and CRUD app built with Express, EJS, and Mongoose, and MongoDB. App to allow the user to keep track of their projects and associated materials in a user friendly way.

Adventure List 2.0
Group project built as a RESTful and CRUD app utilizing the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) stack, and MongoDB. Platform for users to login to create and view adventures they have completed or plan on taking.
